Funny, some friends told me about this and I wasn’t quite sure whether to believe them or not. Guess it’s true! But actually, I read that artichokes make other things taste slightly sweeter too (seems true, but maybe it’s just a placebo effect since I never noticed till after I read that).

I remember that NYT article, too. I do hope some tastings pop up around here in Chicago. I’m so interested in trying it out.
When you mentioned the Filipino winery, I jokingly thought that there might be Spam involved. We love that stuff

I think that after the NY Times article created such a buzz about the fruit that there will be a trend in more tastings. After all, you know how people love what’s unique and exclusive. And miracle fruit has that in spades.

I remember being intrigued by that NYT article, too. It definitely sounds like an unusual experience, but is there more to it than just the “wow, that tastes kind of different!” factor? Do you think miracle fruit tastings will become a trend?
