I, too, miss the show. I also was sad to hear Joey tell me that not only was his show cancelled, but so was “Bay Area Backroads.” Both were quality programs.

not a big KRON4 fan but a few wks ago went looking for Bay Cafe and couldn’t find it. Am so sorry to hear that a local food show is gone. And a sad commentary on me that the show has been gone 9 months and i just found out. Good thing I live 10 minutes from Miss pearl’s. Will definitley have dinner there this week.
Thanks Mr.Altman for the years that I watched your show.

“Bay Cafe” was a lot of fun, and is a James Beard-award-winning show, too. It was very sad to see something good and local go off the air after such a long run. Hard to believe that a show like that couldn’t find a sponsor in this foodie-obsessed Bay Area.

First of all, those skewers look fantastic. Second of all, I’m glad to hear he won’t be picking lint out of his belly button. Looks like a great book (Jennie Schacht, his co-author, is terrific) and I’m embarrassed to say I never watched Bay Cafe, but it sounds like I missed something good!
