A Taste of Nantucket at Marché

Enjoy the flavors of Nantucket without having to fly to the East Coast.

Menlo Park’s Marché restaurant brings the impeccable seafood of that region to you for a special dinner on March 20. This will be the restaurant’s sixth annual “Taste of Nantucket” soiree.

Nantucket fisherman Stephen Bender will be flying directly from Nantucket with just-harvested Nantucket Bay scallops, Polpis Harbor oysters, freshly dug clams, and a wealth of other fish and seafood.

Executive Chef Kolin Vazzoler, who prides himself on his long-standing relationship with purveyers, will prepare a six-course prix fixe meal from that bounty. Price is $95.

Dishes will include shaved Delta asparagus with cherrystone clam vinaigrette, and Nantucket Bay scallops with green and black garlic.

For reservations, call (650) 324-9092.

That is a beautiful picture. I’ve never been to Nantucket, but I do love Martha’s Vineyard.

Is the chef single? He’s super cute! And can whip up a beautiful meal :)

If they would only make fried whole-belly clams I would be there in a second.

When the Red Sox win the World Series Marché does celebrate for one night with Fois Gras Burgers, Lobster Corn dogs, Oysters and clams on the half shell and real New England fried clams, bellys and all.

Ooo, thanks for the heads up! I am in a Nantucket mood, so I will see if the husband wants to come along!

Olga, you might want to make a reservation now. Sources tell me the chef is indeed single. ;)
