A Festive, Non-Alcoholic Way To Ring in the New Year
Is it really just a day away from 2010? Seriously?
I’m not necessarily ready for a new year to begin, not when it seems like this past one just zoomed by at warp speed before I could barely catch my breath.
If I could, I’d like to rewind it back to, say, maybe summer to do all the things I had hoped to do but never got around to doing. Things like read more books, cook even more fabulous new dishes, host a few more dinner parties at home, clean out my closet, organize my desk better, go for a hike, and write more letters on actual stationary to be mailed with a real stamp.
Since I can’t turn back time, I’ll do the next best thing — usher in 2010 with welcome arms, eager anticipation and boundless hopefulness.
And I’ll start by drinking a toast with a sample of the new Knudsen Sparkling Pomegranate drink. With no added sugar, artificial flavors or preservatives, this ruby-red, bubbly drink has a delightful taste. It’s not nearly as sugary as carbonated grape or apple juices. It’s sweet, yet faintly puckery, too.
A 25.4-ounce bottle retails for about $2.49 at natural food stores and grocery stores nationwide. An 8-ounce glass has 120 calories.
I raise my glass to all of you. This was a challenging year for all of us, what with the economy doing a number on our livelihood and pocketbooks.
Here’s wishing you all a brighter 2010 that brings continued success, good health, many laughs, and of course, great eats and drinks.
Happy New Year! May it be the best one yet!
Sounds great! I prefer sparkling juices to toast with, so this is perfect! And because it’s made out of pomegranates, it’s loaded with antioxidants, so it’s good for you, right? Of course!
Happy New Year to you! It’s sure to be brighter and better, and this sparkling pomegranate juice looks like a great way to ring it in.
That looks delicious!
Happy New Year!
Cheers,
Rosa
Mmmm I got a sample of it too. Tastes like the most delicious and adult soda ever. Love it.
Sparkling pomegranate juice looks quite interesting, I’ll have to keep my eye out for a bottle.
Wishes for happiness and blessings in the coming year.
Happy New Year Carolyn! I love anything pomegranate and anything sparkling! Cheers!
Happy new year, Food Gal! Put all those things you wish you’d done in 2009 on your list for January 2010. Look forward to more of your fabulous posts in the new year.
Happy New Year! Hope it’s a great one for you and your family!
Whole Foods has a house brand that i just love. Super look in the glass when you are with a crowd of wine folks!!! Not too sweet, just great. Happy new year everyone!!!
I’ll let my dad know of this, but I’m sure he’ll still miss the alcohol, lol. My mom, however, will LOVE this!
Happy, Blessed, Joyful New Year!!
Happy New Year, Carolyn.
Wishing you more success in 2010!!!
Cheers
Oooh that looks like a great drink! I love the faint tartness of pomegranates too. I wonder if it would taste like Pom wonderful mixed with soda water (which I love). Happy New Year Carolyn and I hope 2010 brings you wonderful things! 😀
Happy New Year to you, too!
