Jen: It's a little easier -- just a little -- to get into the French Laundry these days, what with the economy being what it is. That's not to say you can score a seat readily anytime you want. But it is much more possible to get a reservation now. Try OpenTable.com to see what's available. Or get on the waiting list by calling the French Laundry. I have had friends who got in that way. Also, if you really want to splurge, book a room at a hotel in Yountville, and the concierge often can get you a reservation at the restaurant. Good luck!
