Win A James Beard-Nominated Cookbook
Thirty cookbooks were just named finalists in this year’s prestigious James Beard Foundation Awards.
Now, here’s your chance to win one of them, courtesy of ProjectFoodie.com.
The recipe site, of which I’m an adviser, will be doling out the free cookbooks through May 2, when the James Beard winners will be formally announced.
To win a cookbook, just go to ProjectFoodie.com, and leave a comment about why that particular cookbook attracts you or why you think it is award-worthy. The most memorable or clever answer will win that cookbook.
All the cookbooks sounds really interesting, so it’s hard to pick which one I would like to read most (and is award-worthy). Honestly, I am more thinking about which one I would like to read and use most. And I guess therefore I think it’s award-worthy…
I think I’d have to pick Lidia Cooks from the Heart of Italy as I really enjoy her show on PBS (on the rare occasion the toddler lets me watch it…). I like that she uses simple ingredients to create memorable dishes. I also love that she has kept her Italian heritage alive through cooking. She exudes a love for food and good, fresh ingredients, and I feel like I’d be welcome at her table anytime (one can dream…). 🙂
Okay, this is answer is neither memorable nor clever, but it’s all I’ve got… And I think Lidia does a great job… 😉
I want the Henry’s Farm one. It isn’t on the Foodie Project list yet to win though..not yet anyway..or so it seems.

Melly, unfortunately we’re focusing on the cookbooks so we won’t be giving away Henry’s Farm, but there are plenty of others if you’d like to take a chance at winning one of those.

I most certainly want the MOMOFUKU cookbook! Asian fusion, and gosh I’ve been hearing about this place for so long and so much, that the guy is practically a legend to me.

I love your challenges, always making us think. My New Orleans deserves to win. I’ve been exposed to its contents from newspaper write ups to blog posts, to perusing the pages while waiting on hubby at the bookstore. All close encounters only have me wanting more. Any book that has the power to draw readers in like this has some exceptional qualities going for it – making it a winner in my book world.
