Come Meet the Food Gal and Four Cookbook Authors in Palo Alto
Yours truly is proud to be moderating a fun and timely panel, “Rethinking Your Holiday Meal,” at 7 p.m. Nov. 16 at Books, Inc. in Palo Alto’s Town & Country Village.
I hope you’ll join me and four wonderful, local cookbook authors as we talk about ways to make your holiday feasts less stressful, more enjoyable and downright fool-proof.
The panelists:
* Chef Andrew Swallow, who leads the creative team at Mixt Greens, a gourmet salad cafe with locations in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C.; and is the author of “Mixt” (Ten Speed Press).
* Andrea Nguyen, author of “Asian Dumplings: Mastering Gyoza, Spring Rolls, Samosas, and More” (Ten Speed Press).
* Christine Hanna, president of Hanna Winery in Healdsburg and author of “The Winemaker Cooks: Menus, Parties and Pairings” (Chronicle Books).
* Jennie Schacht, author of “Farmers Market Desserts” (Chronicle Books).

Oh, sounds like such fun! I won’t be able to make it, but I’ll definitely check out the Farmers’ Market Dessert & Mixt cookbooks.

What a fun event, unfortunately I have a work function I have to attend, I am still hoping our paths will cross soon.
Go Carolyn! You will no doubt be the moderator with the mostest! 😀
Sounds like a wonderful time, and I’d love the opportunity to see you again and meet Andrea in person. Alas I teach on Tuesdays so I’ll just have to live vicariously through your write-up.
