In college, My girlfriend wanted to make me chicken parmigiana for our first valentine's day. She thought she could please this paisan with prego and kraft "parmesan" cheese. I politely showed her the error of her ways and made her an authentic italian dinner. We have now been married 10 years, and celebrate Valentine's day every year with chicken parmigiana.

My husband for our first Valentine's Day gave me a framed photo from our engagement shoot. It was so sweet of him to do that all on his own! Now 3 kids later I would just like a little peace and quiet and chocolate!

Every year when I was little, I would wake up on Valentine's Day and find a small heart-shaped box of chocolates and a card at my seat in the dining room. My sister would get one too. These were always from my dad, and the cards would be unique and funny, picked out especially for us. (My mom always got "better" gifts, but we expected that.) In return, we always made sure that we got something special for our dad.

Now that I live on my own, my parents still send a little package every year, with various goodies, a box of chocolates, and a card. Getting the card is so special to me because it has always shown me that my dad views me as an individual, and of course, that he loves me.
