It’s time for tea with a view at the Top of the Mark at the Intercontinental Mark Hopkins in San Francisco.
The 19th floor of the landmark hotel is the spot for holiday tea. Choose from two different ones, too.
First up, the “Holiday Afternoon Tea,” available 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays until Dec. 15, then resuming again Dec. 26-30. Sip your choice of tea while nibbling from a three-tiered selection of sandwiches, scones with Devonshire cream and French pastries. Price is $36 per person.
Second, enjoy the “Magical Holiday Tea,” 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 9-10, 16-17, and 19-23. This family-friendly tea experience features a magician and face painter. A tea buffet service will offer traditional fare, as well as kid-favorites such as pigs in a blanket and PB&J sandwiches. All children get to take home a complimentary gift, too.
Price is $48 per person. Each guest who brings in a new toy to donate to the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots Drive will receive a $2 discount off the price of the holiday tea.
For reservations, call (415) 616-6916.
Enjoy a three-course $30 per person dinner with a guest on a Monday night through Dec. 19 at a participating restaurant at Santana Row in San Jose — and get two tickets to “A Christmas Carol.”

Present your restaurant receipt to the Santana Row concierge to receive your tickets, which are by first come, first served.
