A Sweet Way to Celebrate the Giants’ Home Opener
Sure, you can dress in your best orange and black.
You can whoop and holler, too.
But best yet, you can nosh on cookies baked in honor of your fave players as you cheer them on.
Pastry Chef Emily Luchetti wants to help you celebrate the San Francisco Giants home opener on Friday, April 13 against the Pittsburgh Pirates. She’ll be selling fresh-baked Giants-themed cookies at a pop-up outside her restaurant, Waterbar on the Embarcadero.
Choose from Pitchersnaps (a riff on gingersnaps), Pablo Sandoval’s Panda Prints (peanut butter and jam thumbprints), Buster Posey’s Chocolate Chunk Cookies, and Brian Wilson’s Chocolate Sea Salt ShortBEARDS (get it?).
The sale starts at 11 a.m. and goes on until the last cookie is sold. A mixed bag of cookies (about six to eight in each) will be $5.
Having baked from many of her recipes and eaten many of her restaurant desserts, I have no doubt these cookies are sure to score a homerun.

I still remember tasting her ice cream sandwiches at Waterbar from a few years ago. If I remember correctly, one of the flavors was ginger.

It doesn’t take much to get me excited about baseball, but cookies always help! YUM!

OK-Giants, I must ask the question. Why aren’t these great cookies not being sold at the ballpark? This makes too much sense.

The cookies look great but unfortunately I live in St Louis and the Cardinals will be playing tomorrow evening.
However, I adore lemon squares and since I have a refrigerator full of lemons I may have to make these tonight. I shouldn’t they’re so fattening but oh so good!
