Organic Sangria In A Bottle

A complete sangria in one bottle. How convenient is that?

I admit I was skeptical when a bottle of Eppa Superfruit Sangria landed on my porch.

Visions of bad wine coolers lumbered about unpleasantly in my head.

But Eppa Sangria is far from that. In fact, it’s pretty wonderful tasting.

It’s a complete sangria in a bottle that’s also certified organic.

Organically grown Mendocino Cabernet and Syrah are blended with organic fruit juices that include pomegranates, blueberries, Mediterranean blood oranges, and acai berries.

Pour it over ice and garnish with a slice of your favorite fruit. A 5-ounce serving has 120 calories.

The full-bodied wine varietals balance out the fruit juices by adding nice structure. Acai and pomegranate lend subtle tartness to round things out. It’s surprisingly much more complex tasting than I thought it would be.

A 750ml bottle is about $12. Find it at Whole Foods.

It may be autumn, but a chilled glass of sangria is bound to keep you in a summery state of mind.

  • That sounded scary at first but if you like it, then it must be OK! 🙂

  • This fall weather we are having here in SoCal is really not very convincing. The tail end of Summer is still with us, so this Sangria is iced cold Sangria is just perfect. I hope you are having an enjoyable weekend, Carolyn! 🙂

  • Organic Sangria In A Bottle? Count me in. hm…I think it’ll be nice to enjoy the taste of summer in the cooler weather. 🙂 Gotta look for this the next time I go to Whole Foods.

  • We have really been into organic wines these past couple of years so this post is great for when I am in Florida next. I’ll definitely look for it. It looks and sounds wonderful.

  • I’ve had bottled sangria before, and usually it’s been so-so at best. Sounds as if this one is different, however. Definitely worth a try – thanks for bringing it to our attention.

  • You know I saw this the other day at Whole Foods and wondered about it. I typically make my own but sometimes you just don’t think ahead to make it. I’ll have to pick up a bottle to try next time I’m there. Pretty bottle.

  • It sounds interesting. I don’t know if it’s sold in Canada, but I’ll look out for it!
