Cocoabella Chocolates Opens in the South Bay
Located in the Luxury Wing on the first level of the mall, the store sources small-batch, artisan chocolates from around the world.
All in all, the store offers more than 180 chocolates from 18 chocolatiers and five countries.
In Commemoration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Restaurants around the Bay Area have been offering special promotions to highlight Breast Cancer Awareness Month throughout October.
It features glass of rose sparkling wine, rose macarons and other sweet and savory treats. The afternoon tea is $30 per person and includes a Tickled Pink Book, featuring exclusive fashion offers from retailers at the mall.
Proceeds benefit Bright Pink, a national non-profit focusing on early detection of breast and ovarian cancers.

The cocktail is a blend of Skyy Vodka, Germain Elderflower Liqueur, grapefruit juice and soda water. One dollar from each $12 cocktail sold will benefit the Cancer Prevention Institute of California.
”Food For Thought” Series at the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco
San Francisco’s Jewish Community Center has assembled quite the group of culinary luminaries for its “Food for Thought” series that starts this month.
First up, illustrious Chef Daniel Boulud at 7 p.m. Oct. 27, who will be in conversation with Chris Ying, editor in chief of Lucky Peach. Boulud’s new cookbook is “Daniel: My French Cuisine” (Grand Central Life & Style). Tickets are $25 to $35.
Next, Chef David Kinch of Manresa in Los Gatos will team with Chef Daniel Patterson of Coi for an evening of “Reinventing California Cuisine,” 7 p.m. Oct. 30. The moderator will be Paolo Lucchesi of the San Francisco Chronicle. Kinch’s debut cookbook is “Manresa: An Edible Reflection” (Ten Speed Press) and Patterson’s new book is “Coi: Stories and Recipes” (Phaidon Press). Tickets are $25 to $35.
Lastly, San Francisco Chronicle Wine Editor Jon Bonne will host “The New California Wine: A Conversation & Tasting,” 7 p.m. Nov. 6 in conjunction with his new book, “The New California Wine: A Guide to the Producers and Wines Behind a Revolution in Taste” (Ten Speed Press).
