Stroll downtown Healdsburg while enjoying a four-course feast.

If those after-Thanksgiving sales have left your wallet rather depleted, you’ll be glad to know that these dining deals will let you to indulge your gourmet tastes without breaking the bank.

Head to Healdsburg Dec. 3, 10, and 17 for a progressive, three-hour feast each of those evenings. Enjoy four courses, each at a different restaurant you stroll to on or near the Healdsburg Plaza.

Among the participating restaurants in the Strolling Holiday Dine Around” are: Cyrus, Bovolo, and Dry Creek Kitchen. At $85 per person, it might not seem like the biggest bargain. But out of town visitors can receive up to 30 percent off their hotel stay at participating lodgings. For more information on that, click here.

Select shops in the Downtown Retail District also will offer guests a 10 percent discount on a purchase of $100 or more each of those three days.

A portion of proceeds benefits the Healdsburg Shared Ministries Food Pantry.

At San Jose’s Santana Row, chow down on a two-course $14.95 prix fixe lunch at any of 12 participating restaurants. The Out to Lunch” promotion is good only on weekdays through Dec. 31.

After you finish your last bite, bring your lunch receipt to the Santana Row Concierge Center to receive two tickets to San Jose Repertory’s production of “Around the World in 80 Days.” Offer is good until ticket supplies run out.

Morocco’s Restaurant in downtown San Jose now offers a take-out lunch for $5.50, with tax and gratuity included. You get your choice of lentil salad, cold beet and potato salad, or Mediterranean salad, then either chicken kebabs or kefta burger patties. Call in your order at (408) 998-1509.

The restaurant also is hosting a cooking class, 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 2. For $60 per person or $110 per couple, learn how to prepare two salads, two appetizers, and two entrees. Then enjoy what you made, along with six wine pairings.Â\

If you need a help with all the holiday entertaining, let Chef Charles Phan lend a hand. He’s created “Parties Out the Door” is a nine-course kit that lets you savor the flavors of his celebrated Slanted Door restaurant.

The party boxes contain fresh spring rolls, vegetarian rolls, grapefruit and jicama salad, roast pork sandwiches, daikon cakes, grilled 5- spice chicken sandwiches, Niman Ranch bbq pork ribs, grilled beef bavette bermicelli, lemongrass pork vermicelli, and assorted cookies.

If you’re parched while shopping at the Westfield Centre, you’ll be glad to know that Out the Door has opened a bar, serving beer, wine, sake, and even a special sparkling sake. Designated drivers can quench their thirst with fresh squeezed lemonade, Boba tapioca pearl drinks, and other non-alcoholic beverages.

Celebrate 2009 by enjoying a prix fixe lunch for $21.95 or prix fixe dinner for $34.95 during “Dine About Town San Francisco,” Jan. 15-30 and June 1-15. The Cellar at Macy’s Union Square in San Francisco will kick off the promotion Jan. 14 with a launch party, featuring chefs from some of the participating restaurants. A $20 donation to Meals on Wheels will get you 10 “tasting tickets” to sample bites from participating restaurants. There also will be wine tastings.

  • I like to find out about dining deals at Cityskoop.com. I live in SF but there are deals for other cities too – LA, NY and some others. It gives me the info on happy hours and wine deals – things like that.
